My Approach to Helping
Therapy for me is about connection. I think we spend most of our lives feeling alone and not understood. I think therapy can be a safe
and supportive place to connect with another person and to explore what you want your connections with others to look like. I use
my natural curiosity in therapy to try to understand people and create a non-judgmental space where you can share what's really
on your mind.
I don't give advice in therapy. Rather, I'll work with you to get to the root of your problems. My goal is to create a place where
you feel comfortable working toward your goals. I often find that change starts happening as soon as you start accepting yourself
without judgment. One of my favorite sayings is, "you have to accept where you are to figure out how to get where you want to go."
More Info About My Practice
My fees are $175 for the initial session and $160 for follow-up sessions. I do use a sliding scale and accept BlueCross/BlueShield health insurance.
